✧  SETUP  ✧

Tablet: Wacom Intuos Pro Small PTH-460, Wacom Bamboo CTL-470(Back up)

Monitors: GIGABYTE G27F (Main), DELL U2413, LG 27MP59G-P

Art Programs: PaintTool SAI, CLIP STUDIO PAINT, Photoshop

Recordasd & Edit: OBS, VEGAS Pro 18.0

 • Why not a display tablet?

For me it's a personal preference. Currently, the tablet doesn't hinder me from my quality of work so all I really need is a tablet that can do it's job. I also like being able to see my entire canvas unblocked(by my hand).

 • Why do you use multiple art programs?

I'll use what works the easiest and best for me. On SAI I really like it's pen stabilizer the most, it makes drawing and lining a breeze. While for colouring CSP has specific yet diverse range of tools which makes it easier for me to achieve the shading I want. Meanwhile I only use PS for polishing up and editing.

They're simply different tools and mediums for me to use to my advantage.

 • Art trades and collabs?

Current, no. I would love to, but I don't have the work balance at the moment to give it the time it deserves. Maybe in the future!

 • Request?

To draw your character? Sorry but, no. I take commissions only now but I may hold some events for my followers to win free art from me from time to time.

Fanart / suggestions? Absolutely! If there's a concept you'd like me to try or you're a fan of a game/anime character you're always welcome to suggest to me what you'd like to see from me. Honestly, I'd love to get my followers more involved with that c:

• What Canvas Size do you draw in?

I am always on 300 - 350 DPI (Tip: Please set it to at least 300 DPI if you have not already)

I always start sketching on small canvases around 1000x1000px to 2000x2000px I find it easier and faster to get the posing down.

When I line and colour I resize it to it's final size:

      ↳Illustrations: A3-A4

      ↳Chibis: A5

• I want to draw/colour like you! Can I?

Yes, go ahead! I find it very flattering that you like my art and it makes you want to give it a try!

But be warned! You might suffer with me :'D I mean, I enjoy the work that I do that it's satisfying enough for me but sometimes the process can be very long and arduous so it's not everyone's cup of tea.

• Can I use your art to study/reference?

You're always welcome to use my work for studying purposes! If you do decide to post them online please credit me back~

Just note that I still have a lot to learn myself so my work may not always be the best to learn from :'D

• Can I repost your work?

Reposts are fine! Please just make sure to credit me back along with a link if you can! Thankyou~

• I'm writing a webtoon story, do you want to be the artist?

I'm sorry, no. My attention span and motivation is way too short for long projects like that ; - ; I wish you best of luck though!

 • How can I improve my art?

Study effectively. It's important to understand what it is that you're trying to improve on and to break it down into smaller specific goals. Don't draw from what you don't know! Always use references if you don't know how something looks! I also find it helpful to just build a library of artwork that you really like and admire. Try to find artists that you aspire to become, imitate/copy them, then take that knowledge and apply it back to your own work.
Most importantly, continue working on building a strong foundation on the basics and always

keep challenging yourself by drawing something new and different. Change things up! Don't become fixated on one area for too long, like redrawing the same hand posture or studying feets until you can perfect it, that's not an efficient or effective way to improve.

 • I'm a beginner, where should I start?

The Basics, Foundation and Fundamentals! You want to build a really strong foundation! Think of it like your backbone, this is what will carry you far. Art is also very visual focused, you can extract a lot of information from it so you'll want to develop strong observational skills aswell.

My reccomendation is that you First learn: Guidelines, Sighting + Measuring techniques, the Grid Method and Gestures

Some of these help develop your observational skills like the Grid Method and it's also fun and relaxing to do.

Gestures are also good to start off. It will help you draw more loosely and shake off any of that stiffness you tend to develop by trying to "perfect" a drawing.

Second Basic Foundations: Anatomy(Skeletal + Muscular Structure), Proportion, Lighting, Colour Theory

This is where some of the techniques above will help you with Anatomy and Proportion.

You can easily search up any of these topics online and find tutorials, lessons and exercises for free!

Also personally I think it's very important for beginners to just draw what they like and mostly have fun. You want to enjoy what you're learning because some of these are very technical and can feel boring at times like doing homework or chores when you just simply want to draw.

 • Will I improve if I draw everyday? Do you believe in drawing everyday?

I'm a firm believer of both working harder and working smarter. You can't have one without the other!
You'll see the best improvement if you take the time to understand what's the best way (technical technique, colour theory, anatomy, etc) to practice, and then putting in the time to practice.

Nothing comes without hard work, but you'll want to maximize the work you're putting in!

This is what helped me too! I've been doing digital art for 12 years, but I saw the biggest improvement the last 3-4 years. I took the time to analyze my work, and how to improve before I threw in hours of blind practice. Instead of just working hard (which I still need to do), I also worked smarter.
Study effectively, be bold and challenge yourself to new things! It doesn't have to be everyday but whenever you get the chance, do the most that you can!

 • Will you make more tutorials?

I would definitely love to try and do more in the future!

I just worry that maybe it'll be too hard to follow along and understand. I am not the best at explaining ; - ;

Sometimes I also feel like I'm underqualified to be teaching others.

 • Can you teach me how to draw personally?

I don't mind giving tips, advice and critiques from time to time. I do it all the time with my friends who are learning to draw and seeing them improve so fast makes me excited too! But I also get really passionate but don't have the time and work balance to dedicate myself to teaching privately. Just like previously stated, I also don't feel fully qualified to be teaching others :') so sorry but no.
